so called “normal”

What is the so-called “normal”?

It is something that does not make us feel uncomfortable.

The ordinary can fit into the whole.

But what is out of the ordinary deviates from the whole.

In human society, an unusual person is perceived as being uncomfortable.

A person who is perceived as different can be called an outlier to the group.

Finding the normal is conversely difficult, because it blends in with the group and is not easy to find.

But that is to say, the element of not being able to find it easily proves that it is normal.

However, the sense of discomfort seems to change with the passage of time.

This is because people’s perception of value must have changed over time.

If we had the opportunity to talk with people who lived hundreds of years ago, which of them would be normal?

Would each side see only themselves as normal?

Or would they both recognize each other as normal?

Or would they be neither of those things, and would they both judge each other to be unusual?

Despite the word “normal” itself, it is not so easy to grasp what is meant by the word “normal”.
